Job Description

Yakta is looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic Welders to join our R&D Team! This position is full-time and includes a benefits plan that starts after a successful probationary period. Your role as a Yakta welder will be to fabricate prototype mowers for our testing and use in the field. To excel at this role you should be able to have general knowledge of welding and interpret blueprint drawings. All tools are provided with competitive wages. Personnel are required for a variety of shifts. Overtime may be required on some days.

The Role:

    • Meet your daily goal by following welding processes
    • Read blueprints and drawings
    • Set up components for welding according to specifications
    • Being adaptable to our work flow
    • Operate angle grinders and welding machines
    • Work well with others, being a team player
    • Making clean and even welds, cleaning and scrapping the finished product
    • Follow safety and cleanliness protocols

Qualifications

Desired Skills/Experience:

    • Punctual
    • Proven experience as a welder
    • Attention to detail
    • Must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the occupational hazards and safety precautions
    • Physically able to lift weight over 50 pounds
    • Able to use a computer for shipping/receiving tasks also.
